Beachstone

Material Source
Stones are harvested by hand from several beaches within the Indonesian Archipelago and transported via local cartage to Bali production facility.

Material Preparation
The beach stones are washed, air dried and sent to the layout gallery.

Production Process
Beach stones are assembled and adhered to mesh backing, set aside for adhesive to dry.

Packaging Process
Finished sheets are packaged in cardboard boxes containing 11 sq. ft. of product. Boxes are labeled, assembled into pallet loads and made ready for shipment to domestic and international markets.

Cut Stones:

Material Source
Source material is reclaimed off-cut waste originating from marble quarries within Indonesia.

Material Preparation
Pieces of a suitable size and shape are gathered and brought to a cutting station where, on average, three saws with 14 to 16 inch diamond or carbide tipped blades cut the pieces into small slabs suitable for mosaics. The motors used to power the saws are normally an industrial rated electric motor rated at 3 to 3.5 HP powered from the local electricity grid or on site diesel generators.

Water used in cooling of saw blades and removing the dust material is recycled and reused using a smaller utility gas or electric driven water pumps to take the settled, clear water from settlement ponds back to cutting station. The sediment remaining is then harvested and sold into other marketing channels.

Cut stones are mixed with sand and tumbled for ½ hour, washed, air dried and sent to the layout gallery.

Production Process
Beach stones are assembled and adhered to mesh backing, set aside for adhesive to dry.

Packaging Process
Finished sheets are packaged in cardboard boxes containing 1 square meter of product. Boxes are labeled, assembled on pallet sand shipped to domestic and international locations

Terra Cotta

Material Source
Terra Cotta originates as roofing and drainage tile sourced from decommissioned building sites within Indonesia.

Material Preparation
Material is brought to the production center were it is broken by hand with hammers into sizes suitable for mosaics.

Pieces are loaded into a tumbler without abrasive agent and tumbled for 15 minutes, washed, air dried and sent to the layout gallery. The tumbler has a three horsepower electric motor with power sourced fro the local grid.
